Shaftesbury Home Grown

Years ago a town would grow most of its food in the surrounding fields. Nowadays much of our food is imported and what is grown nearby is probably trucked off to the ends of the country to be washed and packed in plastic before traveling further round the roads.

Our little band of growers formed in 2009 with the aim of giving themselves and local people a chance to reconnect with food that is grown near them. We grow our veggies without sprays and artificial fertilizers so, although they may be all shapes and sizes, they don’t have residues in them.

Come and visit us at our field near Umbers Hill down Breach Lane in Shaftesbury. We are open every Friday and Sunday mornings between 10 and 1 o’clock.
